3-Isocyanatopropyltrimethoxysilane (ICPTMS, CAS 15396-00-6) is a bifunctional, isocyanate-functional silane coupling agent that carries both a reactive isocyanate (–NCO) group and a hydrolysable trimethoxysilyl group. This dual reactivity lets it chemically bridge organic polymers and inorganic substrates — glass, metals, and mineral fillers — making it a high-performance adhesion promoter and crosslinker for moisture-curable polyurethane/urethane and RTV silicone adhesives and sealants, industrial coatings, and surface treatments; it also grafts silane functionality onto active-hydrogen compounds such as amines and polyols. Royalchem Spain supplies it at ≥ 98% purity as a clear, colourless liquid, delivered from our Valladolid distribution hub under dry conditions by drum with COA and SDS for every batch.

A silane crosslinker and adhesion promoter for moisture-curable polyurethane/urethane and RTV silicone systems, and for end-capping silane-terminated (SPUR / MS) prepolymers to boost cure and substrate bonding.
An adhesion and durability enhancer for industrial paints and protective coatings, and a primer / coupling agent for the surface treatment of glass, metals, and mineral fillers.
Reacts with active-hydrogen compounds (amines, hydroxyls, polyols) through its isocyanate group to graft trimethoxysilyl functionality, building silane-modified polymers and moisture-crosslinkable prepolymers.
Standard Packaging:
200 kg steel drums, or smaller packs, filled and sealed under dry nitrogen — or to customer requirement. Distributed by Royalchem Spain from our Valladolid hub. Shelf life 12 months in original sealed, dry packaging.
Storage Conditions:
Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, strictly away from water, moisture, alcohols, amines, and strong oxidising agents; nitrogen blanketing is essential. Moisture-sensitive and reactive — it hydrolyses and reacts with active-hydrogen compounds, so keep anhydrous and protect from humid air during transfer.
