Alpha Olefin Sulfonate AOS 35

Alpha olefin sulfonate (AOS 35; sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate; CAS 68439-57-6; EC 270-407-8) is a high-foaming anionic surfactant supplied by Royalchem Spain as a 35% active, light-yellow clear liquid. A sulfate-free surfactant — a mixture of alkene sulfonates and hydroxyalkane sulfonates — it delivers rich, stable foam, strong detergency and good wetting even in hard water, with high (>90%) biodegradability and good skin compatibility. It is widely used in shampoos, body washes and bubble baths, household detergents, and industrial & institutional (I&I) cleaners, and also as an emulsifier in emulsion polymerisation and as a textile/dyeing auxiliary.
