Ascorbic acid (L-ascorbic acid, Vitamin C, E300, CAS 50-81-7) is the water-soluble vitamin and food-grade antioxidant used across the pharmaceutical, food & beverage, cosmetic, and chemical industries. As an essential nutrient it is the active ingredient of Vitamin C supplements and injectable formulations; as a powerful reducing agent it protects foods, beverages, and formulations from oxidation, preserves colour and flavour, and strengthens bakery dough. Royalchem Spain supplies USP/BP/EP/FCC-compliant material at 99.0–100.5% assay as a white crystalline powder, delivered from our Valladolid distribution hub in 25 kg cartons or drums.

The active ingredient (API) of Vitamin C tablets, effervescents, chewables, and injectable formulations, and an antioxidant stabiliser protecting oxidation-sensitive APIs in liquid and solid dosage forms.
A natural antioxidant and preservative in juices, soft drinks, processed fruit and vegetables, and cured meats (where it accelerates curing and limits nitrosamine formation), and a flour improver / dough strengthener in bakery.
An anti-ageing and skin-brightening active in skincare and hair-care formulations, and a mild reducing agent in organic synthesis, a component of redox initiator systems for emulsion polymerisation, and an intermediate for ascorbate derivatives.
Standard Packaging:
25 kg fibre cartons or drums with double PE liner — or to customer requirement. Distributed by Royalchem Spain from our Valladolid hub. Shelf life 36 months in original sealed packaging.
Storage Conditions:
Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, protected from light, moisture, heat, and oxidising agents — ascorbic acid gradually darkens and loses potency on exposure to air, light, and humidity. Keep away from metals such as copper and iron, which catalyse oxidation.
