Ethyl 3-ethoxypropionate (EEP, CAS 763-69-9) is a slow-evaporating ether-ester solvent valued in high-performance coatings and inks for its excellent polymer solvency, good flow and levelling, resistance to solvent popping in baking, moderate odour, low surface tension, and high electrical resistance. A non-glycol-ether, non-HAP solvent, it is widely used as a tail solvent in automotive, industrial, marine, and aerospace coatings and as a photoresist solvent in electronics. Royalchem Spain supplies it at ≥ 99.5% purity as a clear, colourless liquid, delivered from our Valladolid distribution hub by drum, IBC, or ISO tank.

A slow-evaporating tail solvent for automotive refinish and OEM, industrial, coil, marine, and aerospace coatings, improving flow and levelling, gloss, and film uniformity and reducing solvent popping in baked finishes.
A high-solvency carrier for printing inks and a photoresist solvent and edge-bead remover in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, where its clean evaporation supports precise, residue-free processing.
A coupling and retarder solvent for acrylic, polyester, epoxy, and polyurethane resin systems, a clean-up and process solvent, and a building block in organic synthesis — a versatile alternative to glycol ethers and NMP.
Standard Packaging:
200 kg steel drums, IBC totes (approx. 1000 kg), or ISO tank for bulk — or to customer requirement. Distributed by Royalchem Spain from our Valladolid hub. Shelf life 24 months in original sealed packaging.
Storage Conditions:
Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat, sparks, ignition sources, and strong oxidising agents. A combustible liquid (flash point ≈ 52 °C) — keep containers bonded and grounded during transfer and protect from moisture to preserve quality.
