Isobornyl acetate (IBA, CAS 125-12-2) is a terpene-ester aroma chemical with a fresh pine, fir-needle, and woody-camphoraceous odour. Produced from camphene and acetic acid, it is one of the most widely used ingredients in functional perfumery and also serves as an industrial intermediate for synthetic camphor. Royalchem Spain supplies it at ≥ 97% ester content as a clear, colourless oily liquid, delivered from our Valladolid distribution hub by drum or IBC.

A pine, fir-needle, and woody-camphoraceous aroma chemical for soaps, detergents, household and air-care products, and fine fragrance (fougère, coniferous, and herbal accords), prized for its fresh, diffusive, long-lasting character.
Manufactured from camphene and acetic acid; hydrolysis yields isoborneol, the direct precursor to synthetic camphor — one of the principal industrial routes to camphor.
A minor camphoraceous-woody flavour ingredient and a specialty agent with reported antimicrobial activity, also used as a monitoring pheromone for the Asian long-horned beetle.
