N-Ethyl-N-hydroxyethylaniline (2-(N-ethylanilino)ethanol, N-EHEA) is an electron-rich aromatic amino-alcohol and one of the most widely used coupling components in azo-dye chemistry. The free para-position of its aniline ring couples readily with diazonium salts, while the N-ethyl and N-hydroxyethyl substituents tune solubility, brightness, and shade. Royalchem Spain supplies it at ≥ 99% purity as a pale-yellow to amber liquid, delivered from our Valladolid distribution hub by drum or IBC.

Electron-rich coupling component for azo disperse dyes — the classic coupler for C.I. Disperse Red 1 and related shades such as Disperse Red 8, Disperse Red 13, and Disperse Orange 23 used on polyester and synthetic fibres.
Upstream precursor to N-ethyl-N-(2-chloroethyl)aniline and onward to cationic (basic) dyes such as C.I. Basic Red 18, and a building block for acid and solvent dyes.
Amino-alcohol reagent for azo and nonlinear-optical (NLO) chromophores and for custom organic synthesis; its hydroxyl and aromatic-amine groups allow further alkylation, acylation, and esterification.
Standard Packaging:
200 kg HDPE or steel drums, or IBC totes (approx. 1000 kg). Distributed by Royalchem Spain from our Valladolid hub. Shelf life 24 months in original sealed packaging.
Storage Conditions:
Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, protected from light and away from heat, oxidising agents, and strong acids. Nitrogen blanketing is recommended, as this aromatic amine darkens on prolonged exposure to air and light.
