N-Isopropylaniline (N-IPA) is a secondary aromatic amine and versatile fine-chemical building block, with an isopropyl group bonded to the aniline nitrogen. Its principal use is as a key intermediate for chloroacetanilide herbicides — most notably propachlor — and it also serves as a pharmaceutical and specialty-chemical intermediate. Royalchem Spain supplies N-isopropylaniline at ≥ 99% purity as a colourless to pale-yellow liquid, delivered from our Valladolid distribution hub by drum, IBC, or ISO tank under appropriate hazard controls.

Key building block for chloroacetanilide (acetanilide) herbicides — most notably propachlor — formed by acylation of the secondary amine. Also used in other crop-protection actives that require an N-isopropyl aniline moiety.
Secondary-amine building block in the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and fine chemicals. Its reactive N–H site enables acylation, alkylation, and ring-forming reactions.
Intermediate for dyes and pigments and for rubber and polymer additives, and a general N-alkylated aniline reagent for organic synthesis and custom manufacturing.
Standard Packaging:
200 kg HDPE or steel drums, IBC totes (approx. 1000 kg), or ISO tank for bulk. Distributed by Royalchem Spain from our Valladolid hub. Shelf life 12 months in original sealed packaging.
Storage Conditions:
Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, dark, well-ventilated area, away from heat, ignition sources, oxidising agents, and acids; nitrogen blanketing is recommended to limit oxidation and colour drift. Toxic by inhalation — handle with respiratory protection and full PPE.
