IBOA -Isobornyl acrylate

IBOA

Isobornyl acrylate (IBOA) contains five membered and six membered rings of isobornel base structure, so it has low viscosity and surface tension, high glass transition temperature (TG), low toxicity and environmental friendliness. At present, IBOA is gradually replacing methyl acrylate, cyclohexyl acrylate and other esters, and is more and more widely used in emulsifiers, coatings, especially ultraviolet (UV) curing materials.

Pinene is rich in turpentine resources in China. Camphene can be produced by isomerization. Our advantages: turpentine is distributed in many places, starting from camphene, a raw material, with advantages in upstream and downstream industrial chains; It also has technical support from Japanese and multinational companies, with quality first.

Application of isobornyl acrylate (IBOA):

1. Basic components of UV coating preparation: 1 Oligomers (unsaturated polyester and acrylate resin) 2 Photosensitive monomer (active diluent) 3 Photoinitiator 4 Auxiliary components (leveling agent, defoaming agent, base lubricant, matting agent, dispersant, stabilizer, surface smoothing agent...). As a photosensitive monomer, it is a reactive nonvolatile solvent that directly participates in the curing and film-forming process. In addition, it dissolves the solid components in the UV coating and adjusts the viscosity of the system. Product advantages: compared with other units, adding IBOA active diluent into the acrylic resin formula can effectively reduce its viscosity and improve its leveling, adhesion and impact resistance. Application examples: automobile surface coating, automobile cover varnish.

2. Basic components of UV ink preparation: 1 Polymeric prepolymers (epoxy acrylate resin, polyurethane acrylate resin, polyester acrylate resin, polyether acrylate resin, propyl acrylate, unsaturated polyester resin) 2 Photosensitive monomer (active diluent) 3 Photoinitiator 4 Auxiliary ingredients (coloring pigments, fillers, additives). As a photosensitive monomer, its addition amount is 20%-80%, which can adjust the viscosity of prepolymer and polymerize at the same time to form a cured film. Application example: special printing ink, such as printing ink on outdoor inkjet, polyethylene film and other materials.

3. Basic components of adhesive preparation: 1 Main agent (one or two or even three polymers) 2 Additives (curing agent, toughening agent, diluent, filler, modifier). The addition of 20%-80% can adjust the viscosity of prepolymer and polymerize at the same time to form a cured film. Product advantages: while increasing the hardness of the film-forming material, it can maintain and increase its elasticity, and improve the gloss, brightness, adhesion, leveling, friction resistance, aging resistance and corrosion resistance of the polymer. Application examples: pressure sensitive adhesive, sealant, quantum dot film coating.
